Autumn/Winter 2011/12: Mens Fashion
Checklist:Tailoring: For so long it's been all about slim and skinny cuts for men. Skinny won't be out, but something else is certainly in. A relaxed fit for men is, of course, nothing new. Loose layering, drop crotches and baggy jeans have been with us for some time now, but we are now looking at, seamless shoulders, loose and pleated pants and Loose cut jackets. External Pockets: Riding the line between street fashion, being a casual trend and being inspired by something a bit more tailored, the men's external pockets trend is something of a statement feature. The external pocket is born of a wider trend towards relaxed tailoring and casual detailing. It's closely tied to new shapes in mens trousers and suiting that shift away from the super-slim; keep an eye out for the marrying of looser cuts with details like the external pocket. Loose Pants: For this look what you're looking for are those relaxed, oversized and generally loose interpretations of men's trousers which are tailored. After all, this trend may lack formality but it certainly isn't so casual that it is streetwear. Tailoring is key to the whole look. The elements you're looking for in loose cut trousers are: loosely tailored through the thighs, loosely tailored through the crotch and tailored. Classic Boots: Whether it's vintage or workwear inspired, you must have a pair of quality classic boots. Some may go with duck boots, others may opt for chukkas, while the manliest will be keen on rugged utility boots. Choose your favorite brand and style in a color that fits your wardrobe and make it your staple. Or choose several to increase your fall and winter footwear options. Hint Of Camo: You heard it here first. Just give em a hint of fatigue this fall and winter. Unless you're a solider, we need not see you in all over army fatigue, not yet anyway. Just a hint, a jacket, socks, a bag, whatever you like.
